Dear Friend,
If you clicked on this link, you may be looking for a new church home. Let me tell you just a bit more about us at Shepherd’s Heart and perhaps you’ll pay us a visit. We are a small, Christ-centered fellowship that has been around for about 20 years. Our Rector is Rev. Dr. Harold Hammond, an Anglican priest for 40 years.. We emphasize Biblical study and prayer and a balanced liturgy. We are “High Church” or Anglo-Catholic, in holding a high doctrine of the church, ministry, and sacraments. We use incense, holy water, sanctus bells and other symbols of our ancient faith. We are not stuffy or legalistic and find joy in our worship of Christ our God. In music ministry, we have excellent musicians who not only play but have written a number of Biblical songs and melodies. We use traditional hymns and chants and new melodies as well, based on Biblical texts. Many parts of our Mass are sung, using our own melodies. We place a high value on all our members being able to offer prayer to anyone, anywhere, and we offer training in personal prayer and prayer ministry. We do offer a closeness in relationship with each other and with our clergy. Our strength is in our intimacy and in pastoral care, and our laity, as well as clergy, are trained in caring for each other in time of need and in time of joy. We hope you will visit us real soon.
Pax Christi,
Fr. Hammond+
